Episode 909 = ?

13 January 2010 | 3 Comments

Pure awesomeness, or pure dullness?

After seeing just the first two minutes, I’m thinking the former. Kick-ass Elliot is a good change, and Lucy – for the first two mins at least – was enjoyable to watch!…

What are you thinking?

What Did I Think?

Wow. As good as any episode from season 3 (IMO perhaps the best season). Yeah, I said it. Pure awesomeness, and no whiney J.D. Hurrah!

I’m now more than convinced that Sarah Chalke is a good luck charm. Every episode she has been in is far above average – they should totally make tiny little Sarah Chalke good-luck charms, I’d buy them, lots infact. If this were Japan, I could imagine little Sarah Chalke keyrings with a cute little curly piggy tail coming out of her backside, and little cute smile… Writer Leila Strachan: I salute you.

The pace seems slower and more sensible, perhaps a little too much sound effects for my liking, but everything just seems far more polished. I loved kick-ass, hyper emotional Elliot and patronising Cox. And, something I noticed, which was a wee-little pet peeve of mine, when dialogue between Denise and someone else was filmed, there would always be too much of the back of Denise’s head for it to be distracting and it didn’t quite work….Yeah, I know it sounds weird, but watch them, and you’ll see what I mean! But, NOT NOW! FIXED! And, Elliot and Jordan looked stunning too.

I’m loving how 901-905 just shouldn’t have happened, and in comparison to the quality of 906+ episodes, they seemed like last minute thoughts. However 906 upwards just keeps getting better, and now 909 brings something to the table which is going to take some beating.

What? I’m not saying anything negative about it? Well… I’ll have to dig deep…The bathrobe Mr Foster was wearing reminded me of the Jewish slaves uniform at Nazi concentration camps, I didn’t like the “Your mind is blown” thing with Turk, and perhaps a little too many sound effects… Has this quashed the barrage of “Un“? We’ll wait and see.

If it looks like only one of Scrubs Med School or Better Off Ted is going to get renewed…As this season is getting better and better, it’s obvious that at least someone is analysing what is and isn’t working, and that can only be good. I’d love to see how good this season of Scrubs can really become.

I enjoyed the episode! But why the hell is JD back at Sacred Heart? Not even one line of explanation?

Really? I didn’t like this one that much. It was okay, far better than the starting ones but meh. They are lacking the sad moments like my lunchbox. I know ths kind of stuff shouldn’t be happening in a first season. But it might just be what is neeeded. I mean J.ds first day was sad and a good episode, Lucy’s had the potential of being sad, I think or whenever her first patient died, and nothing came of it. I’m sorry I don’t like Lucy at all nor do I like Drew. I say Cole is awesome. And any episode with the Todd has got to be hilarious. And also the memorable part of the episode is the ending, with Turk and j.D.
